Jiangsu Wuxi Xishan Taiwan Farmers Pioneer Park (Wuxi Xishan Modern Agricultural Industrial Park) has a planned total area of 48.5 square kilometers. In 2008, it was approved by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council to be established as the first national-level Taiwan Farmers Pioneer Park in Jiangsu Province. In 2017, it earned the first batch of qualification for the establishment of National-level Industrial Park. It was recognized by the Ministry of Science and Technology as the core area of Wuxi National Agricultural Science and Technology Park in 2018, ranking among the top five in the same batch of 48 cities across the country. In recent years, the park has fully implemented the rural revitalization and development strategy, with the leading industry of horticultural crops seeds and seedlings as the core. It vigorously promotes the integrated development of primary, secondary and tertiary industries, carefully cultivates new agricultural business entities, advocate agricultural scientific and technological innovation, and actively build and improve modern agriculture industrial system. The development of the entire industrial park presents a good situation in which the integration of primary, secondary and tertiary industries is accelerated, the industrial system is increasingly improved, the business entities is growing, the income of farmers is increasing, and the social influence is significantly improved. There are 140 enterprises in the park. The largest domestic yew seedling breeding base and the largest domestic color seedling breeding base have been established in the park. The new varieties cultivated by the hydrangea seedling breeding base account for 80% of the national market. At present, the total output value of the park is 3.05 billion yuan, of which the output value of leading industries is 2.14 billion yuan, the coverage rate of leading industries is 61.2%, the moderate scale operation rate is 91%, the primary processing rate of agricultural products in the park is 88%, and the annual number of tourists exceeds 2.3 million.
